Well I woke up this morning

I felt that a page dedicated to Blues, Rythym and Blues and Country Blues would be a good idea as it is these genres, and the Blues in particular, that form the roots and heart of most modern rock music.

I got into the Blues and Rythym and Blues because back in 1964 my cousin Roger was a big Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley and Jimmy Reed fan.
Knowing I liked the rolling Stones, and their first (and in my opinion their best) album, in particular, he played me a selection of Berry, Diddley and Reed.
I quickly realised the influence these people and others like them had on white rock/pop music.
Roger continued to play me his incredible record collection and I was able to dig and learn about people like Leadbelly, Robert Johnson, Mississippi John Hurt, Bessie Smith and more blind guitarists that you could shake a stick at!

So this page is for

Cousin Roger
